We are located the basement of the Columbia Tower at Royal Columbian Hospital in the Medical Daycare Unit.

Services Offered

We accept referrals for VTE and arterial thrombosis, particularly to guide duration of anticoagulation and work up. We will also see patients with previous history of VTE for perioperative anticoagulation planning.

We do not have capacity to see patients on anticoagulation for atrial fibrillation (including perioperative management), longitudinal INR monitoring/warfarin titration or for management of antiplatelet agents. Please note, we do not provide acute VTE management (i.e. patient should already be started on anticoagulation before being referred to our clinic). If you are unsure about initiating anticoagulation or choice of anticoagulant for a patient, you can contact the on-call RCH Hematologist for phone advice.
